PRE-READER Danielle Carter - Nov. 21, 2016
Book 25 of the year was Randa Rune and the Erie Street Witch by Catherine Garrett.
I was one of the lucky pre-readers to have the privilege of reading the first draft and give our opinions. This book is part of a series so it's going to be a longer wait for me to read the second book which I can't wait to do and I will definitely be one of the first in line to buy this book when its published. I really enjoyed it and highly recommend it when it hits the shops 2017.
The book is about Randa, who is a very quiet, shy girl who struggles to make friends due to other kids finding her strange as she loves rhyming. One day the bad boy from school takes an interest in her and an old house down the road. Randa falls for his bad boy charm and follows him on his quest to get inside not really knowing the house and him holds a family secret.
On her 16th birthday she finds out she's a witch and all witches on their 16th birthday go to Sobelow to learn their skills. This is where the story gets you hooked. Learning about all the wonderful world's and creatures of Sobelow and the secrets and quests she's been thrown into, you won't want to put it down.
I'm giving it 5 stars
